Privacy Policy
digo is a Mac app: hold a key and talk, and it writes your words where you were typing. This policy explains what information the digo app and this website handle. digo is provided by Gridex Inc., a US company at 1545 Wigwam Pkwy Unit 0633, Henderson, NV 89074-8271, USA ("we", "us").
In one line
What you say is made out on your Mac and never uploaded. There are no accounts. We only learn your email address if you join the waitlist or buy a character.
What you say
- Recording and speech recognition happen on your Mac. Neither the recording nor the text made from it is sent to us or anyone else.
- Your history and recordings are kept on your Mac (
~/Library/Application Support/Digo). You can clear them in Settings at any time. - digo's logs stay on your Mac and never contain what you said.
- Once digo has pasted text into an app you chose, what happens to that text is up to that app (for example the AI agent you use) and its provider, not this policy.
When digo goes online
digo connects to the internet only for these things:
- downloading the speech model (the first time you open it, about 690 MB, once): from
dl.usedigo.app, and only if that fails, fromhf-mirror.com(a Hugging Face mirror that is reachable from mainland China); - checking for and downloading updates, once a day, from
dl.usedigo.app; - downloading character files (characters you wear or buy), from our own servers;
- buying, and restoring characters you bought, through our own servers and Stripe (see Buying below).
Like any web request, these carry your IP address and what is needed to do the job (for example which file to download or the app's version; for restoring, the email address or license code you enter). They never carry what you said or your history.
Buying
- Payments are processed by Stripe acting as merchant of record (Stripe Managed Payments; your statement may show Link). Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never receive or store them. Stripe's privacy policy covers what Stripe processes.
- After you pay, we email your license through our email provider, Resend. To do that we give Resend your email address and the license.
- Our server keeps your email address, the order ID and which characters you bought, so you can restore them on another Mac, and so we can handle refunds and answer your questions. We keep these records for as long as you may need to restore your purchases, and as long as tax and accounting law requires.
This website
This website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, shows no ads, and does not track you across sites. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, so, as with any website, your requests (including your IP address) pass through Cloudflare's servers.
The waitlist
digo isn't out yet. If you join the waitlist on this website, we keep your email address, along with your language, where on the page you signed up, and the country your request came from. We use them only to tell you when digo is ready and about its launch. The list is stored with Cloudflare. To be removed, write to support@usedigo.app.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
- We don't train any model on what you say (we never have it).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the purchase records we hold about you (email address, order ID, characters bought) by writing to support@usedigo.app. Once they are deleted, those purchases can no longer be restored. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights under law, and we will respond as the law requires.
Children
digo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above, and explain significant changes on the website.
